New Premier Elite and Texecom Connect SmartCom Firmware

Texecom is pleased to announce firmware updates for Premier Elite control panels and Texecom Connect SmartCom communicators.

Premier Elite V4.02 Firmware

Premier Elite V4.02 firmware includes an update to enable tamper monitoring for Texecom Connect SmartCom communicators and updates to Norwegian and Finnish language sets. Details include:

  • Texecom Connect SmartCom tamper monitoring is enabled with control panels running V4.02 firmware and SmartCom V1.02 firmware. The Texecom Connect SmartCom can be used as part of an EN50136 SP3 compliant alarm transmission suitable for grade 2 installations.
  • Updates to Norwegian and Finnish text translations.

Premier Elite V4.02 firmware is now available on all Premier Elite control panels. Texecom Registered Installers can access details of all Premier Elite firmware versions on the ‘Support’ page of the Texecom website.

Texecom Connect SmartCom V1.02 firmware enables tamper monitoring when used with Premier Elite control panels running V4.02 firmware.

Field Upgrades

To upgrade an installed Texecom Connect SmartCom, simply access the site via the Texecom Connect App using the control panel engineer’s code, and follow the instructions found here.

The upgrade process will take 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and during this time the Texecom Connect SmartCom will be offline. Once completed, the Texecom Connect SmartCom will operate normally.
